These are the terms for using Collections. Using the app means you agree to them.
These terms are an agreement between you and BN Applications, Inc., which makes and operates Collections.
You need to be 13 or older, and old enough to agree to a contract where you live. To chat with people you need a phone number you control — it is how you sign in and how people find you. Reading News needs no account.
Keep control of the phone number you signed up with, and of the Apple ID you linked to your account. The number alone doesn't open your account; the Apple ID does. If you lose either, or your number is reassigned, tell us.
You can change your number in the app without losing your account, and you can delete your account in the app at any time.
There is no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behaviour on Collections. Don't post:
And don't use Collections to harass anyone, whether through what you post or by repeatedly adding someone who doesn't want to hear from you.
What you post stays yours. You give us permission to store it and to show it to the people in the collection you posted it to. That is the whole of the permission, and it ends when the content is deleted.
You are responsible for what you post, including having the right to share it.
News is AI news. Most stories are from news outlets' public feeds: each outlet's own headline, description and picture, as the outlet publishes them. Others are from Wikipedia's Current events portal, written by Wikipedia's contributors and shown under the CC BY-SA 4.0 licence, with the credit in the app. We don't write or edit any of them, and nothing in News is generated. The articles belong to the outlets that published them, and open on those outlets' own sites.
Every item and every reply can be reported from inside the app. Every person can be blocked — blocking hides everything they have posted from you and stops them reaching you.
We review reports within 24 hours. Content that breaks these terms is removed, and accounts that break them are terminated.
Anyone in a collection can also delete anything in it, without waiting for us.
You can delete your account in the app whenever you like. We can suspend or end an account that breaks these terms.
Collections is provided as it is, without warranty of any kind. We do not promise that it will be available, or that data will not be lost.
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the app. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
We may update these terms. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept it.
